We stayed for 6 nights at elysian. The room was comfortable and quiet in the evening. It's a great location being beside the train station and a short walk to the town centre. Best of all though was the outstanding service. The communication in English was excellent and easy. Chris and the team gave us great recommendations and the breakfasts were tasty and generous. Chris' scrambled eggs each morning were 5 star. A great place to stay and we highly recommend.

We stayed for one night at the B&B. The communication prior to arrival was great and we were met and shown around when we arrived. We were able to safely store our bicycles inside. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size. The location is excellent for being able to walk into Ieper. The shower in our room was sadly faulty and was not working as expected. The toiletries were lacking with only shampoo available and no shower gel or hand soap. The room was also not as clean as would have liked it to be. Sadly these factors let the stay down.

Wonderful hosts, a really good breakfast, and a convenient location.||Both the guys who hosted were really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, gave good recommendations. The breakfast was continental with optional scrambled eggs and there was lots of everything you could want!|Coffee machine available always in the lounge.||The room was clean and we'll equipped. The only thing that could have improved it would be towels came in a plastic package which was a bit tatty, and there was no hand soap. The TV didn't work well either. Other than that seriously wonderful. Will use again next time we visit!||Don't use if you don't like stairs though! Very steep!

Geweldige ligging, op wandelafstand van de grote markt en 5 minuten met de wagen tot Bellewaerde!
Propere kamers, supervriendelijke uitbaters, die een enorme passie voor hun vak hebben, lekker ontbijt!
Gewoonweg top!!

My best mate and I were looking for a hotel to stay on a cycling trip through Flanders. We had no experience in the region and so jumped on a booking web site and looked through a number . We chose Elysian almost blind. It was close to the centre of Ypres (leper) and was a good price and had good reviews. Little did we know it would be amazing. We were slightly apprehensive that it was a B&B but after some exchange of e mail to check that we had storage for 2 bikes we were satisfied. ||About 2 hours away we received a call to check that we were coming and could find the hotel, which was a nice touch. On arrival into Ypres, I called the hotel and the gentleman talked us into position which was absolutely perfect. Close enough to walk to the centre , but far enough away for a quiet good nights sleep. The room was great, super clean, modern, everything we required. The bathroom was better than many 5 star hotels with a huge rainfall shower, and a heated towel rail.||For cyclists breakfast is a huge issue and this one was fabulous. It was continental with no hot food but an amazing selection that would satisfy anyone. ||This is a top quality B&B and I would be hard pressed to think that I have ever seen a better one , and for a very very reasonable price.

We stayed for one nights during a short break in Ypres. Lily was a great host, not on site, but there to meet and greet and prepare breakfast. The rooms (and bathrooms) are wonderful, spotless, large and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable too.||We travelled with some older members of our family, so be aware there are stairs to all of the rooms and the family suite is on the 2nd floor, with the second bedroom up a another flight of stairs in the attic.||Breakfast was a feast - fresh fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt, cakes, pastries, toast etc.||The location is about 10 minute stroll from the centre, car parking outside & there is a nice bar just next door (not noisy).||We would definitely recommend staying here.

Elysian ligt echt vlakbij het station. We verbleven in de familiesuite die ruim en comfortabel was. Ze bestaat uit twee tweepersoonskamers elk met badkamer en een kleine keuken. Een van de kamers bereik je via de trap in de keuken. Er is een gevulde frigo met drankjes tegen democratische prijzen. 's Morgens is er een goed ontbijtbuffet met wit en bruin brood, vers fruit, zoet en zout beleg, yoghurt enz. Bij aankomst krijg je meteen een stadsplan. Daar we met de trein kwamen, mochten we bij het uitchecken onze bagage nog ter plaatse laten. We kregen een sleutel van de voordeur, zodat we deze later konden ophalen. De eigenaars zijn inderdaad niet altijd aanwezig in het pand, maar dat is geen probleem. Je beschikt over voldoende info om hen te bereiken.
